This article analyzes the implications of the Legal Framework for Guarantees, established by Law No. 14.711/2023, and the modifications implemented in Law No. 9.514/97, which regulates fiduciary alienation of real estate in Brazil. We focus on the possibility of successive fiduciary alienation, the extension of the use of fiduciary alienation, and changes in the effects of debt settlement by fiduciary debtors, especially in cases where loans are not intended for the acquisition or construction of a home, among other aspects.
