Bibliometric Analysis of the ADDIE Method Using the Scopus Database

The ADDIE model provides a framework for generating various instructional interactions, offering the necessary systematized tools to be used in different areas of knowledge. This study aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the ADDIE Method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) within the scope of Instructional Design. The research was carried out in May 2024, and data were collected from the Scopus database using the term “ADDIE” to search for articles with this term in the title, abstract, or keywords. The search was restricted to articles published in journals. The results show an average annual growth rate of publications on the ADDIE Method of 26.2% between 2000 and 2023. The years with the highest number of publications were those after the COVID-19 pandemic, mainly in Asian countries, and the social sciences area stood out the most, with 60% of the articles published. The bibliometric analysis evidenced growth in academic production and the consolidation of the model as a reference for developing effective educational practices, contributing to the understanding and evolution of teaching and learning processes.
