THE PERCEPTION OF THE MUNICIPAL MANAGER ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION IN THE PROFESSIONAL FORMATION OF THE STUDENT DURING COLLEGE

Abstract

This article addresses the importance of school transportation in the training of students of higher education in the municipality of Bela Vista de Goiás. The access to universities is very limited due to social inequality and the lack of opportunities that affects millions of Brazilians, because the availability of free public education is not enough. According to the Brazilian Constitution, education is everyone's right, so the school transportation offer must be linked to this right by means of supplementary programs that guarantee and enable the student's access to the educational institution. It is necessary that states and municipalities organize themselves to formalize the provision of this service as management and control, planning structure that ensures the quality of these services provided, through inspection ensuring the safety of its users. This work was structured by means of a bibliographical research, with an exploratory approach and the use of the qualitative method for the field research. To do a case study about the conditions of the transportation that makes the route from Bela Vista to Piracanjuba in the first semester  of 2022 and with the objective of describing conceptually what is scholar transportation, point out which benefits exist from this kind of transportation in the professional formation of young people and adults who attend higher education; present the main challenges and routines observed by this kind of scholar transportation service, as specific objectives. Finally, the expectations and challenges in the provision of this type of service by public agents to the benefited municipalities, during professional training.
