Um Estudo de Viabilidade da Substituição de Copos Descartáveis por Reutilizáveis: Economia Circular e Redução de Resíduos na Universidade Estadual do Norte do Paraná

The objective of this article is to discuss the replacement of disposable cups by reusable ones at the State University of Northern Paraná (UENP) as a measure to reduce negative environmental impacts, promote sustainability and circularity in the economy. To achieve the proposed objective, data from UENP for the year 2024 are used, calculating the Net Present Value of investments in different scenarios. From the analysis of different scenarios and horizons, it is found that the replacement is advantageous in all cases. The conclusion highlights not only the environmental and economic benefits of the change, but also the importance of promoting a culture of sustainability at the university. The transition to reusable cups is seen as part of a broader effort to promote responsible consumption practices and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
