Abstract

This article shows the social changes that have occurred in recent years. In postmodernity, the number of non-places in cities has increased, and cities are becoming increasingly stressful. All this has epigenetic consequences that must be taken into account in the design of cities. In the text, a review is made of current research on stress and its epigenetic implications. Finally, a set of considerations that could mitigate the impact of stress in large cities are presented.
