Avaliação da Sobrecarga na Vida Útil de Pavimento Flexível – Estudo de Caso em Veículos de Usina Sucroalcooleira

Abstract

The dimensioning of a flexible pavement depends directly on the load applied by the axes of the vehicles requesting that pavement, by means of a conversion in a number of repetitions of a standard axis, number N. As a result, the service life of the pavement is directly linked to that vehicle load transmitted to it. This paper aims to show the harmful effects caused by vehicles with loads higher than those allowed in a resolution of the National Traffic Council - CONTRAN, using as a case study the data obtained from a sugar and alcohol plant in the state of Goiás. The analysis took into account the actual load of notes made at the plant, the total load allowed by the resolution and that allowed by the regulation with the overload limit, establishing an equivalence factor between the standard axis, simulating the N number of each of those situations. From the analysis, it obtained results that show little difference between the number N obtained considering the vehicles fully loaded with the load limit of the resolution of the CONTRAN and the number N obtained with maximum loads and the allowed overload. As for the number N obtained with the limits of the resolution in relation to the N calculated with the actual load lifted, differences of more than 45% were obtained, which represented a reduction of useful life that reached more than 50%.
