Abstract

The importance of planning in the execution of works is fundamental to the success of a construction professional, promoting the rationalization of the executive process and has as objective the optimization of the stages of a work, seeking to minimize costs and maximize productivity. This study aims at the analysis and application of the planning and control of single family dwelling work, seeking to improve the methods, its correct application to mitigate errors, and consequently to reduce the cost, optimizing the time of each determined activity during the work in the construction site, mainly without loss of quality of the final product. It will address the need for planning and how to do it, prioritizing the intentions, goals and means for its implementation, anticipating possible problems that are visualized when applying planning techniques, adapting solutions quickly and accurately to circumvent them, making the schedule and budget feasible, facilitated by allocating resources correctly and allowing the product to be standardized. Its conclusion contributes to the qualification of the professionals involved in the works, demonstrates clearly and objectively how to plan and control their stages and show that this can be a big difference to be presented by the responsible engineer, providing reliability and good results due to the quality of the services provided.
