INDIGENOUS LAND: A BRIEF REFLECTION ON MERCARISM AND STATE ACTING IN THIS PROCESS

Abstract

The main objective of this article is to give a brief reflection on the commodification of the land, especially the indigenous one, which has its possession regulated by the Federal Constitution. For this, the theoretical-methodological bias adopted is Marxism, thinking the process of commodification of the land, initially in the English case and chagando to Brazil and ending in the indigenous land as a result of the class struggle. The guiding question is: what is the relation between the commodification of the land and the indigenous right to the land? And for this, authors like Marx (1982), Polanyi (2012), Poulantzas (1986) and other authors are used for the discussion. Therefore, the conflicts resulting from the process of commodification of indigenous lands are nothing more than just the point of the iceberg.
